Costs

For services outside of the SEND Tribunal appeal process, including policy consultancy, we charge a standard hourly rate of £80. An estimate of the work will be provided from the outset. We will invoice you monthly against the work carried out depending on the duration of your case. When the work is complete we will issue a final invoice.

SEND Tribunal appeals

After a case review you are under no obligation to continue with us and in any event, you may not need to. However, if you do wish to instruct us, SEND Tribunal work is charged at a capped fee which will enable you to budget at the beginning of the appeal process and set a maximum limit on what you will expect to pay for the case work involved. You will be invoiced monthly for work completed. If your appeal settles before a hearing, we will charge for any work done at our standard hourly rate. This may mean that the overall cost of your case is less than the capped fee outlined at the start of your case.

'Light touch' support for Tribunal appeals

Paperwork checking and drafting only

We can analyse the existing evidence and draft the appeal application for you to submit. For appeals already submitted we can check your paperwork and provide advice. For contents appeals we can check your working document and provide advice. The cost depends on the work involved which will be charged at our standard hourly rate. Please contact us for an estimate.

Tribunal extended powers appeals

For all rights of appeal to the Tribunal (excluding a refusal to carry out an EHC needs assessment) there is the option of asking the Tribunal to make non-binding recommendations about health and social care. These cases vary in complexity. If you are asking for the Tribunal to make recommendations about health and/or social care as part of your appeal,  additional fees may apply. Any additional fees will vary depending on the nature and the complexity of the recommendations you are seeking. However, advice about this and an estimate of any extra fees will be provided at the earliest stage possible.
