Costs

For services outside of the SEND Tribunal appeal process we charge a standard hourly rate of £65. An estimate of the work will be provided at the case review and advice stage where we will require a deposit of 50% of the estimate if you wish for us to work on your case. We will invoice you monthly against the work carried out during that month. When the work is complete we will use the deposit against the final invoice and refund any remaining funds to you.

SEND Tribunal appeals

We offer a capped fee price for each appeal which will enable you to budget at the beginning of the appeal process and set a maximum limit on what you will expect to pay for the case work involved. We request fees to be paid in advance. If your case settles before a hearing, you will be charged for the work completed at our standard hourly rate which may enable a refund to be given if the cost of work is less than the capped fee paid to us.

Representation at the tribunal hearing

Reasonable travelling expenses are not included and a possible overnight stay will be needed if the hearing is outside the North East of England. Please note we cannot offer representation as a stand alone service without preparing the appeal.

National Trial appeals

For all rights of appeal to the Tribunal (excluding a refusal to carry out an EHC needs assessment) there is the option of asking the Tribunal to make non-binding recommendations about health and social care. These cases vary in complexity. If you opt for your appeal to be included in the National Trial additional fees may apply and will vary depending on the nature and the complexity of the recommendations you are seeking. However, advice about this and an estimate of any extra fees will be provided at the earliest stage possible.
